Softdiv Audio Converter is near the bottom of our list for a reason. It is hard to use and very limited in it’s conversion abilities. First of all, simple things like clicking buttons is much harder than it should be because the mouse pointer appears to be missing the button when you click something. If you center the pointer on a button, you will actually miss it completely. Add to that the fact that it’s difficult to figure out how to do simple things like add files to the conversion queue and suddenly Softdiv Audio Converter seems to be driving you crazy.
This program is for people who have very basic conversion needs. It only converts four formats, MP3, WMA, WAV and OGG. We have no idea why you would even need an audio converter when almost every media player already handles these formats.
Softdiv Audio Converter does have some redeeming qualities. It can extract audio files from CDs and has excellent tech support resources, including FAQs, tutorials, user forums, email and even a live chat option, which is very useful. But none of these features can totally negate the frustrating interface and lack of format compatibility.
