Ease Audio Converter is one of those products that are really good but end up farther down on the list because other programs do their job just a little better. Ease Audio Converter can’t extract audio from CDs or video files, which hurt its ranking, but it’s comparable in most respects to other programs. It has good compatibility; we were pleasantly surprised that it could convert Apple’s M4A format. It handles 17 different formats in all, including MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG and FLAC. It also has a simple interface that lets you queue songs for conversion and alter the bit rate, sample rate and channels.
The place where Ease Audio Converter suffers the most is in tech support. The software developer, Audiotool.net, only offers email support and a very sparse FAQ.
Ease Audio Converter does a lot of things right, but leaves out some important features. It’s a good choice but the products in our top 3 offer a lot more for your money.
